Details: Solid back with piping. Finished with a cotton backing and closed with an invisible YKK zipper.

Provenance

This pillow took inspiration from dori embroidery. Dori, which is derived from Hindi, loosely translates to “thread.” This embroidery technique can be traced back as far as the Cro-Magnon period and was predominantly used by royalty to affix semiprecious stones to their clothing. The complexity of the dori embroidery used indicated the wearer’s class and rank in society.
